I've said it many times before, but it's always fun to do types or styles of photography I don't do on a highly regular basis. When hiking around Glacier National Park or the Flathead Valley with a couple or family rarely am I working with controlled lighting, it's primarily about responding to what the environment—and especially the weather—provides us.
Studio portraits are a complete 180 from those sessions. Especially for headshots which are just the individual, the camera, and the photographer. The thing about working with actors that makes it significantly easier is whether on stage or in front of a camera, performing comes as second nature.
No stranger to stage, film, television, and podcasting, Meredith Patterson was no exception to that rule.
